Our pediatric nutrition specialists provide weight management support, helping improve your child's health with dietary changes. If applicable, we work with your child's other UCSF providers to assess your child's overall health and help them make sustainable lifestyle changes.
Medical nutrition therapy for chronic conditions
Medical nutrition therapy (MNT) helps manage chronic conditions through careful nutrition planning. It complements other therapies your child may be receiving. Your child's provider may recommend MNT to help reduce symptom flare-ups.
