We use the latest surgical approaches to treat developmental differences and traumatic injuries affecting the head, face and hands. For complex cases, we create 3D-printed models of a patient's anatomy for exceptionally precise surgical planning. Our team supports each patient's growth and development, helping them communicate, play and thrive.
Craniofacial surgeons at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals specialize in treating congenital conditions, such as cleft lip and palate, craniosynostosis and other skull and facial differences. We're also home to one of the leading pediatric hand and reconstructive surgery programs in the Bay Area. Our surgeons are experts in advanced microsurgical techniques to correct a variety of upper extremity musculoskeletal conditions.
We're one of only a few Level I pediatric trauma centers in California, offering the highest level of trauma care available. Our surgeons specialize in complex reconstructive procedures for children with the most severe and complex injuries.
