About me
Dr. Krista Kiyoko Schoppy is pediatric otolaryngologist who provides comprehensive surgical care for children with disorders of the ear, nose, throat, head and neck. She has special interests in pediatric hearing loss, airway disorders, swallow and feeding disorders and obstructive sleep apnea, and she provides airway reconstruction and treatment for complex ear disease. She is also interested in improving access to care and coordination of care for children with complex conditions or situations, with a focus on health equity and culturally responsive care.
In her research, Schoppy is focused on improving care and outcomes for children with pediatric ear, nose and throat (ENT) conditions. She is particularly interested in understanding how culture and access to care affect children and families. She is working to develop innovative tools to help families navigate diagnosis, treatment and long-term care of complex ENT issues.
Schoppy earned her medical degree from the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine. She completed a residency in otolaryngology head and neck surgery at Stanford University Hospital, followed by a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology head and neck surgery at Lucile Packard Stanford Children's Hospital.
