About me

Dr. Jennifer Martelle Tu is a pediatric neurologist who cares for children with a wide variety of neurological disorders, including epilepsy, migraine, developmental delay and neuropathy (conditions resulting from damage to nerves, with symptoms such as pain, numbness and weakness). She deeply values having the ability to treat a broad range of conditions, yet also has special interests in movement disorders and in behavioral responses related to neurological disorders. She is director of Katie's Clinic for Rett Syndrome, which provides care for patients with Rett syndrome (a rare neurological disorder) and related conditions.

Tu's research focuses on improving patients' quality of care, safety during treatment and overall experience at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals and specifically at the Pediatric Brain Center.
