About me

Dr. Jason Lee is a pediatric nephrologist who cares for children with kidney issues, including nephrotic syndrome (kidney damage that causes excessive protein in urine), congenital anomalies (structural defects present since birth), kidney stones and hypertension. He has also had experience caring for patients after kidney transplantation and patients receiving hemodialysis (a treatment that filters waste from the blood).

In his research, Lee focuses on ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (automatically measuring blood pressure over 24 hours) as a predictor for adverse outcomes in children with chronic kidney disease. He is also interested in using informatics (analyzing large databases of medical information) to help identify and treat children with kidney disease.

Lee earned his medical degree from UC Davis School of Medicine. He completed a residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in pediatric nephrology at UCSF.
