About me

Dr. Gwynne Church is a specialist in both respiratory conditions and sleep disorders in pediatric patients. She cares for children with pulmonary disorders such as asthma, exercise intolerance, restrictive lung disease and cystic fibrosis. As medical director of the Pediatric Sleep Laboratory, she oversees the evaluation of children with sleep disorders, including breathing difficulties during sleep, insomnia, sleep movement disorders and narcolepsy.

Church collaborates with the doctors and care teams of other UCSF specialty clinics to address sleeping disorders common to children with abnormalities of the face or head, neuromuscular weakness or upper airway obstruction.

Church earned her medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She completed a residency in pediatrics at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland, a fellowship in pediatric pulmonology at UCSF, and a fellowship in sleep medicine at Stanford Medicine.
