Brian Allison

Brian Allison is chief operating officer of UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals, where he oversees operations for the hospitals in San Francisco and Oakland.

Allison served as vice president of Rady Children's Heart Institute at Rady Children's Health – San Diego, where he led the heart program to a No. 3 ranking in cardiology & heart surgery by U.S. News & World Report for two consecutive years. Previously, Allison spent 12 years at Children's Nebraska in Omaha, Neb., serving as vice president of surgical services and executive director of Children's Home Healthcare, and spent eight years with The MENTOR Network. He began his health care career in behavioral health, holding leadership roles with Psychiatric Management Resources Corp. and Horizon Health.

Allison is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and earned his master of public administration degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where he also served as chair of the UNO Alumni Association. He earned his undergraduate degree at Nebraska Wesleyan University. He has also served as an active member of the executive leadership team for the San Diego region's American Heart Association Heart & Stroke Walk.
